About Flamenco de la IslaFlamenco de la Isla was formed in June of 1998, and incorporated as a Society in July of 1998. The board of directors was formed by students and afficionados of the art of flamenco.
And we have a host of new CD’s and a new recipe book of tapas! Please see the library listing under Membership Benefits or Members Information. New items are shown with “[new]“.
The FDLI library is closed for the holidays until January 6th. If you have unreturned items, please leave them in the Flamenco de la Isla mailbox at the Alma de España studio by Dec 21st.
Mark your calendars for a movie night on Saturday, Jan 19th. We’ll be showing either “FLAMENCO, FLAMENCO” by Carlos Saura, or the full un-cut version of “RECUERDOS” Let us know which you’d prefer to see.
Thanks to the generosity of one of our members, we now have even more CD’s in our library available for you to check out. The CD’s and DVD’s are quite useful to students who would like to see & hear examples of various palos (song forms), especially those students who are working on their own …
